I wonder what you'd think
If you looked down deep
And saw me on the brink
Of joyous misery
I wonder if my life shows
Support for the reason
I live filled
By my heart's decision
Do you understand
Can you see
And my action
Does it cause you to question
Why there's a difference in me
You await my failure
Plead my fall
Entice and excite
Temptations that arise
Yet don't begin your jumping
For these worldly chances
Wince as I say
This is all meaningless to me
One who is greater
Claims my soul
One who is Sovereign
Beckons me home
He calls me
Saying
Feed the hungry
He holds me
I'm praying
Never leave me
So you see
Faith becomes alive
And the wildly odd
Becomes normalcy
When you see
Through the eyes
Of One greater than
you.

So Walks the World
She walks a straight line
Tip-toeing on her tenuous bridge
Not daring
To peak at either side
For the fear of falling
Envelops her soul
For the chance of change
Shakes her body
For the unknown
Stirs her completely
She continues this way
Eyes fixed on the next step
She never hesitates
Filling in mold by mold
So walks the world
Behind or beside
Close enough to see
Far enough to avoid paths meeting
Staying on their own thin bridge
All perfectly parallel
Just wide enough for one
Tip-toeing on her tenuous bridge
Not daring
To peak at either side
For the fear of falling
Envelops her soul
For the chance of change
Shakes her body
For the unknown
Stirs her completely
She continues this way
Eyes fixed on the next step
She never hesitates
Filling in mold by mold
So walks the world
Behind or beside
Close enough to see
Far enough to avoid paths meeting
Staying on their own thin bridge
All perfectly parallel
Just wide enough for one

Jump With Me
Jump with me
Into this realm of uncertainty
Hope with me
In belief of more than
Materialistic society
Let us not waste
Ticks of life's clock
Conforming to patterns
Sewn before us
Let us imagine, perhaps
Lives of destroyed intermittince
Yet let us not only dream
But in reality act
Let us take up our cross
Daring to shed blood
Of reputation
Of comfort
Of ease
Let us be the body
Pierced as we may seem
Begging desperately
To be redeemed
Let us venture
Into a world of agony
Sharing the bread
With spirits crying hungry
Let us be led
Not by selfish greed
But by selfless humility
Allowing the Holy one
To awake internally
Jump with me
Into a life of fulfilling
Hope with me
Of a world overwhelmed
By the Holy Deity
Into this realm of uncertainty
Hope with me
In belief of more than
Materialistic society
Let us not waste
Ticks of life's clock
Conforming to patterns
Sewn before us
Let us imagine, perhaps
